Actress Allison Mack broke down in tears while pleading guilty to racketeering and conspiracy charges for her part in a cult-like sex group.
The former “Smallville” star reportedly sobbed while admitting in court, “I must take full responsibility for my conduct.”
Mack read her statement Monday in a Brooklyn federal courthouse and admitted to recruiting women to the alleged self-help organization, NXIVM, which turned out to be a cult-like sex buffet for the group’s leader, Keith Raniere.
Mack was initially charged with sex trafficking, conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, and forced labor, initially pled not guilty.
She faces 40-years in prison after pleading guilty to the racketeering and conspiracy charges, and told the court, “I’m very sorry for the victims of this case. I’m very sorry for who I’ve hurt through my misguided adherence to Keith Rainiere’s teachings.”
