According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Hudson claims she hired Kari Whitman Interiors to do work on her home in the summer of 2017. But Hudson claims it "soon became evident" that Whitman "was completely incapable of performing the services for which KWI was engaged."
Hudson says she was forced to seek "temporary relocation at significant expense" during the construction, which she says stalled. She claims she eventually realized Whitman — who has worked with the likes of Kristen Bell and Jessica Alba — "lacked the ability and competence to perform the services for which she was engaged" and eventually fired her.
According to the lawsuit, Hudson says she paid KWI $177,665 for the work, which was never completed.
She is suing to get her money back, plus another $400,000 in damages.
For her part, Whitman denied the allegations to The Blast and said she plans to file her own lawsuit against Hudson.
