'Real Housewives of Orange County' Star Shannon Beador Files for Divorce

"Real Housewives of Orange County" star Shannon Beador has filed for divorce from her husband, David Beador.

According to court records, Shannon filed docs in Orange County Superior Court on Friday. The couple has been married for 17 years and they share three daughters together: 15-year-old Sophie and 12-year-old twins Stella and Adeline.

The couple had announced their separation in October, with Shannon telling PEOPLE, "It’s heartbreaking for me and my daughters that this is the road that had to be taken but it’s the only way ... I felt alone in my marriage. You can do what you can to keep your family together, but you have to have willing parties. You need two people to make a marriage work, and that just wasn’t happening in our relationship."

Their issues were well-documented on the show. In season 10, it was revealed that David had been unfaithful. The next season, David surprised Shannon with a vow renewal ceremony.

In the most recent season, Shannon battled a 40-pound weight gain, which she said put a wedge between her and David.

Shannon talked about her issues with David on a recent episode of "Watch What Happens Live."
