Selena Gomez Returns to Studio After Ariana Grande Dethrones Her From IG’s Most Followed Spot

Selena Gomez is back to making music … or at least she seems to be.

Four months after seeking treatment for anxiety and depression, the “Taki Taki” singer was spotted leaving a late night session at a Los Angeles music studio on Tuesday. This comes just one day after she was dethroned as Instagram’s most followed female by fellow pop icon Ariana Grande.

It’s been nearly four years since Selena Gomez came out with her last solo album, although she’s been featured on songs with Cardi B and most recently collaborating on Julia Michaels’ “Anxiety” song.

Gomez has been busy lately celebrating her BFF’s wedding and partying in Mexico for her bachelorette party.

As The Blast reported, Gomez sought treatment back in October which put her album on hold. Sources at the time told us, her upcoming album would be very personal to the pop star and inspired by the recent events in her life, including her life-saving kidney transplant.

Maybe that Instagram L was just the push she needed to finish up.
