Selena Gomez did not have a panic attack before her American Music Awards performance, despite rumors.
Last night, Gomez took the stage for the first time since undergoing a kidney transplant to perform her latest single, "Wolves."
Fans noticed that Gomez, dressed in a white slip and rocking a new blonde 'do, appeared timid and seemed off throughout her emotional performance.
Rumors quickly spread on social media, claiming Gomez suffered a debilitating panic attack before taking the stage and that's why she looked pained throughout her performance.
However, sources connected to Gomez who were present backstage tell us there was never any panic attack.
We're told the reason Gomez seemed off is because she was in character and acting sad but, in reality, "wasn't sad at all."
In fact, we're told Gomez was so happy during her performance that she came running backstage afterwards to hug her family and everyone else who showed up to watch and support her.
