Ruthie Ann Miles was injured, and her 4-year-old daughter was killed, after a deadly crash in Brooklyn on Monday.
Miles — who won a Tony Award in 2015 for her role in “The King and I” — was in critical but stable condition in the intensive care unit at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, the New York Post reports. She is pregnant and it is unclear if the baby survived.
Miles’ 4-year-old daughter Abigail was one of two children killed when a driver allegedly ran a red light, striking five people. The New York Daily News is reporting the driver suffered a seizure and doesn’t remember the crash.
A GoFundMe page has been set up on her behalf and has raised nearly $50,000 at the time of this post.
Several Broadway stars have tweeted their support and well-wishes for Miles.
This is heart shattering. Please help if you can and if you can't please send love and hope and prayers their way. Ruthie, I am sending you all the love and light in my heart today sweet lady.
