Rose McGowan Honored at British GQ Men of The Year Awards Following Weinstein Scandal

By TheBlast Staff

Ladies dominated the British GQ Men of The Year Awards and Rose McGowan took home one of the top awards.

Usually an event to honor males in the entertainment and sports industry, on Tuesday GQ made McGowan the first female recipient of its Inspiration Award for her "openness about her experience" which "has been one of the driving forces behind the #MeToo movement."

Wearing a metallic trench coat type ensemble, McGowan definitely made heads turn in London by not following the traditional award show wear for women. Taking to Twitter earlier in day, the "Scream" actress wrote that she'd defy the "dress code" which suggested females "should wear cocktail or evening gowns."

Among the women who slayed the red carpet were Kate Beckinsale, Zendaya, Chrissy Teigen, Rita Ora and Isla Fisher.

Prince Charles too was honored at the event. The Prince of Wales, who's involved with over 400 charities, received The Editor's Lifetime Achievement Award for Services to Philanthropy.

Other notable celebrities in attendance: Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Kaluuya, Chadwick Boseman, Tom Hiddleston, Jeff Goldblum and more.
