'RHONY' LuAnn de Lesseps' Arresting Officer Fired for Making Bogus Arrests

By TheBlast Staff

The law enforcement officer who arrested "Real Housewives of New York" star LuAnn De Lesseps is once again at the center of controversy after losing his job over allegedly unsubstantiated arrests.

The announcement was made by Martin County Sheriff William Snyder, who held a news conference Tuesday afternoon in Florida. Snyder claims Deputy Steven O'Leary recently made three separate narcotics arrests that ended up showing the presence of no narcotics once the alleged drugs were tested in the crime lab.

Snyder said 9 people have been released over the erroneous arrests, and officials are now re-testing the evidence he turned in for the 80 drug related offenses he's handled over his 11-month probationary period.

O'Leary is already well known, as he was allegedly attacked by the "Real Housewives" star back in 2017 while he was working for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Luann was arrested for felony battery on an officer, disorderly intoxication, and resisting an arrest with violence. Photos released after the incident showed O'Leary with visible injuries to his face.

Lucky for De Lesseps, she cut a deal with prosecutors to avoid jail as long as she adheres to certain terms, like attending AA meetings. She also completed a stint in rehab and recently made a glorious return back to Florida.

O'Leary, on the other hand, transferred to Martin's County ... and lost his job.
