"Real Housewives of New York" star Barbara Kavovit is trying to desperately save her New York home from foreclosure, with the reality star trying to hash out a settlement with a bank.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Kavovit and Deutsche Bank National have informed the court they are presently “engaging in good faith settlement discussions.”

The reality star and the bank believe they can resolve their issues outside of court and bring an end to the $2.4 million battle.

Last year, Deutsche Bank National sued Kavovit, accusing her of failing to make mortgage payments and wanted to foreclose on her home.

The bank explained Barbara and her father, Joseph Kavovit, originally took out a loan in 2006 for $2.4 million to buy the 5-bedroom, 7-bathroom, 6,5000 sq. ft. $7 million home located in Wainscott, NY.

Joseph passed away in 2013 and the bank claimed Barbara became responsible for the home loan. They claim a payment due on April 1, 2015 wasn’t paid and still has not been. The bank accused Kavovit of owing $2,482,167.44 on the mortgage.

They sued seeking the full unpaid balance, plus interest, and for the judge to allow them to take the home and sell at public auction.

Barbara Kavovit demanded the case be thrown out, saying the bank failed to give her notice of them planning to sue. She accused the loan terms of being illegal and asked for the judge to not allow them to foreclose.

The reality star even argued her father was the sole obligor to the note, not her. Kavovit says as part of her bankruptcy, the deed was transferred solely to her father in 2010. She claims for this lawsuit to move forward, they would have had to sue her late father’s estate, not her.

A hearing was scheduled Friday for the judge to make a decision on the foreclosure. Kavovit and the bank filed docs right before the hearing was to take place, explaining they are currently in settlement talks and are currently withdrawing all hearings and motions off the court calendar.

The pad currently is listed for rent for only $58,333 a month.
