'RHOC' Star Shannon Beador Accuses Alexis Bellino's Ex of Trying to Ruin Her Financially with Defamation Lawsuit

"Real Housewives of Orange County" star Shannon Beador is accusing Alexis Bellino’s ex-husband of making useless legal requests in order to get her to spend money as she defends herself from a million dollar lawsuit.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Beador is pleading with the judge to shut down Jim Bellino and stop his attempt to depose Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley. She is also fighting his request to obtain text messages and emails from her.
Beador says if Bellino is allowed to depose Rossi and Smiley and seek documents from her, it will force her to spend tens of thousands, all so he can "go on a fishing expedition for information irrelevant" to the lawsuit. Beador says she does not believe Rossi and Smiley "will be able to provide any admissible evidence of any 'anger' or 'ill will' that Ms. Beador harbors against the Bellinos."
The reality star wants her motion to dismiss the entire case heard before Bellino is allowed to do anything else in the case.
Beador points out that she joined "Real Housewives" in 2014 and also never appeared on the show with the Jim or his ex-wife Alexis Bellino. She says Bellino has no reason to believe he will uncover some revelation in the emails and texts besides his assumptions.
Beador argues that the statements she made at the center of the lawsuit are not defamatory. She claims, “The trampoline park and its legal troubles have already been the subject of public interest and press. Ms. Beador was simply repeating something she had heard."
She does point to a lawsuit filed by a woman who was injured at a park once owned by Bellino.
Beador accuses Bellino of aiming "to induce financial strain" on her by trying to demand texts and emails from her and says the court should shut him down now.
Earlier this year, Jim Bellino sued Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador and accusing them of defamation when she trashed his family on a podcast with comedian Heather McDonald.
He accused the reality stars of spreading lies that his divorce was fake, that his trampoline business had left customers paralyzed, and claimed he was “going to jail.”
Jim sued seeking in excess of $1 million dollars for the damage Tamra and Shannon allegedly caused his life.
The reality stars fired back demanding the case against them be dismissed. Both denied defaming Jim and said all of their statements were rooted in truth.
The case remains ongoing.
