The clip begins with the rapper saying he hopes he doesn't get in trouble for sharing his views on school.

"I think that we got so caught up in school being a tradition, that we stopped using it as a learning tool, which is should be," he said. "Like up to this day, I mean, school should be, I think there should be a different curriculum in each and every neighborhood, you know?"

He explained that he's learning the basics at his high school, but it's not basics for him and not getting kids ready for today's world.

"That's why the streets have taught me and, but school is really important. Reading, writing, arithmetic, but I think after you learn reading, writing, arithmetic, that's it," he continued. "But what they tend to do is teach you reading, writing, arithmetic, then teach you reading, writing, arithmetic again. Then again. Then again, just making it harder and harder just to keep you busy, and that's where I think they messed up."

Tupac said he feels there should be a class on drugs, sex education, a real sex education class, "not just pictures and diagrams and unlogical terms and things like that."

If Tupac had his own school, it would have an eclectic variety of classes to teach kids real life skills.

"There should be a class on scams. There should be a class on religious cults. There should be a class on police brutality. There should be a class on apartheid. There should be a class on racism in America. There should be a class on why people are hungry, but there are not," he explained.

"There are classes on gym, physical education. Let's learn volleyball, because one day you know. There's classes like algebra, where I have yet to go to a store and said, 'Can I have X, Y, plus 2. And getting my Y change back."

Tupac went on to explain that at 17-years-old, he's already lived alone and it wasn't what he learned in school that helped him. He credits his mother and the streets, as well as reading.

He further reiterated that reading, writing and arithmetic is important and he's learned from that, but that's it. He said foreign languages shouldn't be required, even though he does feel they are important.

"Actually, they should be teaching you English, and then teaching you how to understand double talk, politician's double talk," he continued. "Not teaching you how to understand French, and Spanish, and German. When am I going to Germany? I can't afford to pay my rent in America, how am I going to Germany?"

He concluded his education talk by saying, "This is what I mean by the basics, and not the basics for me." He also made the point that junior high and high school should be like college where you take the classes you want "in order to choose your path."

A Spanish teacher also agreed with his thought process. "As a Spanish teacher I agree. You shouldn’t have to take my class, you should want to take my class because you want to learn the language." Another teacher added, "I’m a teacher and I totally agree! ?"

Another person pointed out, "7 years after a person receives a Master's degree, if you RE-TEST them on everything they took to obtain the degree, the vast majority would fail!"
