Ralphie May’s Ex-Manager Looking for $100k from Late Comedian’s Estate

Ralphie May’s estate has been hit with a $100,000 claim by the late comedian’s manager who says he is owed commissions for deals he made before the comedian passed away.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, May’s former manager, Andrew Dorfman, claims he is owed a total of $101,337 for work he did from 2015 through 2017.

Dorfman believes he is owed the money from performances, book deals, and May’s Netflix comedy special.

The accounting sheet attached reveals May was paid nicely for his comedy shows, fetching as much as $70,000 for one show. During the timeframe, May received two different payments from Netflix: one for $90,000 and then another for $240,000 for his 2015 special, “Unruly.”

During the comedian’s residence at Harrah’s in Las Vegas, he pulled in a minimum of $5,000 per show, but sometimes made as much as $14,000 for a show.

For his book deal, the comedian was paid $54,000 upon signing, plus an additional $36,000 from the publisher.

May’s manager is also seeking $20,000 for an alleged tax payment Dorfman made for May prior to his death. May’s widow, Lahna Turner, has filed docs objecting to the claim — she says she has no knowledge of any agreement between Ralphie May and his former manager to pay his taxes.

The estate has also been hit with claims by May’s former divorce lawyer over $5,768.75 and a $4,500 claim by the comedian’s former public accountant.
