R. Kelly Gives First Interview Since Sex Abuse Scandal: ‘I’m Fighting for My F**kin’ Life!’

R. Kelly is speaking out for the first time since he was charged last week with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse, adamantly denying all the allegations against him.

The embattled singer sat down with Gayle King for an interview that will air Wednesday on “CBS This Morning.”

During the interview, King asked R. Kelly if he’s ever been with underage girls. Rather than answer the question directly, he points out that he’s been acquitted twice already and believes people are digging up things from his past.

“I beat my case,” Kelly told King. “When you beat something, you beat it. We can’t double jeopardy me like that. It’s not fair … When you beat your case, you beat your case.”

King then grilled R. Kelly about allegations he has held women captive and a riled up R. Kelly responded, “I don’t need to. Why would I? How stupid would that be for R.Kelly, with all I’ve been through, with my past to hold somebody … How stupid would I be to do that?”

Kelly got emotional at the end of the interview, choking up as he said, “I didn’t do this stuff. This is not me … I’m fighting for my f**king life.”
