Prince William Attends Commemoration Service for the One Year Anniversary of the Manchester Bombing

Prince William and the city of Manchester, England are mourning once again on the first anniversary of the deadly bombing at the Manchester Arena that took 22 lives last year and injured hundreds.

The Duke of Cambridge arrived today at The Manchester Arena National Service of Commemoration at Manchester Cathedral, along with UK Prime Minister Teresa May and the families of the victims of the attack.

Twenty-two people were killed and hundreds injured last year when Salman Abedi detonated a bomb at the end of an Ariana Grande concert. The singer took to Twitter to express her devastation and support for her fans on what she referred to as “this challenging day.”

Manchester will host a series of memorials today that include the service attended by the Prince, a city-wide moment of silence and a musical tribute by a local school choir who performed with Grande last summer during the One Love Manchester concert to benefit the victims.
