Prince Once Offered $400k for a Private Party for Jada and Will Smith

Prince was once offered nearly a half million bucks to play a private party for Jada and Will Smith and if the shindig ever went down, it has remained a secret until this day.

Among the treasure trove of documents released by the Carver County Sheriff's Office is a 2015 memo that said the Smiths offered The Purple One $400,000 for an exclusive concert.

The document said the Smiths were planning a private party for 100 guests in Los Angeles scheduled for September 17; Jada's birthday is September 18.

It's unclear if the party ever happened and a rep for Smith did not respond to our request for comment.

Prince was regularly paid huge amounts of cash for private events. The document also shows that the legend was offered $1,250,000 for a 2,000-person private event for an investment group in Hong Kong just five days after the Smith event.

There was also reference to an appearance at the White House. The rock star was given possible dates which coincide with an infamous secret party thrown by the Obamas.

Prince and Stevie Wonder ended up performing at the hush-hush event for the president and first lady and 500 guests on June 13, 2015. Russell Wilson let the cat out of the bag about the exclusive soireé after posting on Instagram that he and Ciara were dancing at 1600 Penn to Prince.

In addition to the millions of dollars for private parties, Prince commanded huge paydays for touring.

An email printout from Prince's 2011 tour shows that the Grammy winner could bring in millions for just one show. The Hop Farm Festival in Kent, England paid Prince $2,000,000 to play a 24-song set that included three encores for a crowd of 30,000 people.

The late icon kept piles of paperwork throughout his Paisley Park estate, which was photographed and cataloged in detail by police who were investigating the star's untimely death from an overdose in 2016.

This week, the Carver County Attorney announced there was “no conspiracy to murder Prince” and no criminal charges would be filed in his death. According to the county attorney, Prince died from accidentally ingesting fentanyl contained in counterfeit Vicodin.
