Text messages between Prince's doctor, Dr. Michael Schulenberg, and his longtime friend, Kirk Johnson, reveals the singer was receiving a myriad of prescriptions, tests and house calls from his doctor in the days leading up to his death.
On Thursday, authorities released all records related to the investigation of Prince's death – including photos, notes and a video showing the lifeless body of the icon.
Among the records were text messages between Dr. Schulenberg and Johnson from the beginning of April, up until what appears to be the day his body was discovered.
In one exchange, Johnson asks the doctor to make a house call to give Prince "fluids." Hours later, Johnson texts back asking how everything went and Schulenberg texts back, "We can arrange to do lab testing if needed at a later visit if interested ... He just doesn't look really well."
Prince went to Schulenberg's clinic the day before he died.
Earlier today, a press conference was held by authorities in Minnesota announcing there would be no charges related to Prince’s death back in April of 2016. Mark Metz, the Carver County Attorney, explained that they believe Prince didn’t realize he was taking Vicodin laced with fentanyl.
