President George H.W. Bush Dead at 94

President George H.W. Bush has passed away at the age of 94.

A statement released from his office read, “George Herbert Walker Bush, World War II naval aviatar, Texas oil pinoeer, and 41st President of the United States of America, died on November 30, 2018. He was 94 and is survived by his five children and their spouses.”

His son, President George W. Bush said, “Jeb, Neil, Marvin, Doro, and I are saddened to announce that after 94 remarkable years, our dear Dad has died.”

He continues, “George H.W. Bush was a man of the highest character and the best dad a son or daughter could ask for. The entire Bush family is deeply grateful for 41’s life and love, for the compassion of those who have cared and prayed for Dad, and for the condolences of our friends and fellow citizens.”

Bush’s love of his life, Barbara Bush, died last April at the age of 92. He had also been in and out of the hospital in recent years, but was able to skydive in Maine on his 90th birthday.

Born George Herbert Walker Bush in 1924, the former President served as the 41st Commander in Chief of the United States for one term and two terms as the 43rd Vice President to President Ronald Regan.

Bush was the patriarch of his dynastic GOP family as the father of President George W. Bush and Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

While he had numerous political feathers in his proverbial cap, his greatest joy was his wife. He was married to his beloved wife Barbara Bush for 73 years at the time of her death on April 17th of this year. During the eulogy at her funeral, son Jeb Bush read a love letter from his father to his mother on one of their anniversaries. “‘I’ve climbed perhaps the highest mountain in the world, but even that cannot hold a candle to being Barbara’s husband,'” Gov. Bush read from his father’s letter.

During his storied political career, he served as a congressman, Ambassador to the United Nations, Ambassador to China and the Chairman of the RNC. As president, he made a number of policy strides like signing the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the Immigration Act of 1990, as well as appointing two Supreme Court Justices and playing an integral role in the creation of NAFTA.

Funeral arrangements for President Bush will be announced at a later date.
