Kristina and Karissa Shannon are inconsolable after hearing the news that Hugh Hefner died, but say they find peace in knowing Hef lived life to the fullest, and had some pretty great views on the afterlife.
The Shannon twins, who were Miss July and August 2009, tell The Blast they got the call earlier today and have been sobbing ever since. "Our faces are swollen from crying" we are told.
They tell us they the 91-year-old had discussed death before, and told them he wasn't scared because "he always said when it's his time it's his time."
He also made it clear "There is no heaven without sex."
The girls, who were Hef's last girlfriends before he became engaged to Crystal Harris, said he also showed them a gravesite he purchased right next to Bettie Page at Westwood Village Memorial Park.
The twins did have more to say on the man they considered a mentor:
"He was everything to us. No matter what happened in our lives he was always number one and ALWAYS had our back. Our love we shared was unconditional something many don’t get to experience in life. He helped us understand who we were. We had enough memories and fun to last forever!"
