The former wife of MLB great Pete Rose says he's too busy showering his new family with lavish gifts to remember about his court-ordered support, but when Charlie Hustle was questioned under oath he actually said he just doesn't want to pay anymore.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, Carol Rose is seeking a bump in her monthly spousal support from $20,000 per month to $35,661 per month. She says the increase is in line with Pete's income, so it should be no big deal.
Furthermore, Carol points out that Pete has been spending a ton of dough on his new family, mainly his fiancée Kiana's two children. Carol says Pete pays for Kiana's daughter's Range Rover at $1,000 per month, plus golf lessons, tutoring and private school for Kiana's son.
After Pete missed spousal support payments for April and May of 2018, Carol got him in a deposition to explain what was going on, and Pete eventually admitted, "I don't want to pay her," adding "I'm going to make the judge make me pay her."
She also questioned Pete about a $4,564 purchase at the Chanel store in Las Vegas, which the former Cincinnati Red described as a "birthday present."
According to his testimony, Pete blames Carol for leaking the stories about his gambling debts, and although he is still dealing with the ongoing divorce from her, is not willing to follow orders and make the proceedings peaceful.
Carol's request has not yet been ruled on, but seeing as Pete is going to "make" the judge make him pay, he will probably get his wish.
