Penelope Ann Miller says her estranged husband's "drunken episodes" have sent their family life into chaos, and got temporary protection to keep him away from the family.
The "Kindergarten Cop" star says James Huggins' "abuse of alcohol" has caused undue harm to their children.
The ex-couple has two children, 16-year-old Eloisa and 8-year-old Maria. Miller has already requested sole custody of the kids, and that any visitation Huggins gets is supervised.
She says Huggins recently left the family residence to "work on his sobriety," but claims it failed and he has "fallen off the wagon."
Huggins must keep 100 yards away from Penelope, their two children, and the family home until a court hearing later this month.
