According to a report this week, the Lovato incident was a "trigger" for Jackson to get help ... but she says that is just not the case.
"[I] haven't gone to a clinic," Jackson wrote on her Instagram story over top of a tweet from a Lovato fan. "[S]omeone doesn't have to almost die for me to know to be healthy, i've already had friends OD and die. that's enough for me."
She added later on Twitter, "i haven’t gone back to rehab, or to any clinic.. idk who decided to make this bullshit up for clickbait but it’s annoying! i don’t need a celebrity’s misfortune to make me healthy. i’ve had enough friends OD to send me that message!"
The 20-year-old has opened up about her troubles in the past, which included multiple suicide attempts when she was 15.
Paris Jackson told Rolling Stone last year that her time at a therapeutic school in Utah was a turning point in her life.
“It was great for me,” she told the magazine. “I’m a completely different person ... I was crazy. I was actually crazy. I was going through a lot of, like, teen angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and my anxiety without any help."
