You may not have heard of actress Emma Corrin yet, but she just scored the role of a lifetime as she joins the cast of the Netflix series, “The Crown.”
Corrin will be taking on the role of Princess Diana for the 4th season of “The Crown,” and will chronicle Princess Di’s failed marriage to Prince Charles.
After landing the role, Corrin said she was “Beyond excited and honored to be joining ‘The Crown,’ for its fourth season. I have been glued to the show since the first episode and to think I’m now joining this incredibly talented acting family is just surreal.”
She continued, “Princess Diana was an icon, and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring. To be given the chance to explore her through Peter Morgan’s writing is the most exceptional opportunity, and I will strive to do her justice!”
As for Queen Elizabeth, Oscar winning actress Olivia Colman will be taking over the lead role that was previously played by Claire Foy.
