Netflix has a sense of humor.
In the annual tradition of fake news stories on April Fool’s Day, the streaming media giant announced it had acquired Seth Rogen — not his work, but his actual being.
They announced the “deal” in a press release, saying, “World-renowned Canadian person, prolific marijuana-doer, and winner of the 2015 MTV Movie Award for ‘Best Kiss’ Seth Q. Rogen has entered into a lifetime deal to transfer full ownership of his personal autonomy to Netflix, Inc.”
Netflix also announced they are “considering a live-action ‘Shrek’ remake, starring Rogen as both the titular character, as well as that character’s love interest Fiona.”
While most of this is a joke, it does seem Netflix will air a Rogen charity project, Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity, on April 6.
