Natalie Portman's Alleged Stalker Arrested Again, Held on Massive Bail

By TheBlast Staff

Natalie Portman's alleged stalker has been arrested yet again and law enforcement considers him such a threat, they upped his bail to half a million dollars.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Gregory Pearce was arrested on Tuesday at 4:00 PM for allegedly violating the restraining order Portman has against him.

He was booked into custody a few hours later and is currently being held on $500,000 bail.

We're told the high bail amount is a direct reflection of how much of a threat law enforcement believes Pearce to be.

As The Blast first reported, Portman was granted a permanent restraining order against Pearce after she claimed he showed up at her house and claimed to be the fictional assassin, John Wick.

Pearce was ordered to stay away from Portman for five years and was barred from coming within 100 yards of her, her husband, and their two children.

On January 31, 2019, Natalie Portman reported a man trespassing on her property. The officer who filed the report claims the man “rang the intercom/doorbell multiple times but said nothing when attempts to engage him were made over the intercom.”

According to the petition, when officers made contact with the man, “he identified himself as John Wick, even though officers had his Colorado Driver’s License which confirmed his true identity.”

The officers say the man told them “that he had spoken to the reporting person several times, telepathically, and that he had traveled from Colorado to Los Angeles to meet the individual.”

In the petition, the detective says when he and his partner tried to speak with the man and call him by his name, he would not respond; but he did respond when they called him “John,” but “his responses were limited and delayed.”

Pearce was eventually placed on a mental hold and the detective filed a petition for a firearms restraining order, which was granted.
