Minecraft creator Markus Persson, better known by his game name Notch, threw the rager to end all ragers Saturday night.
While people associate Notch with Minecraft, he’s also known as the guy who outbid Jay-Z and Beyoncé and plunked down $70 million to own the priciest home in Beverly Hills.
And when you own the most expensive home in the most expensive area in the most expensive city — chances are you have a pretty decent party budget.
The Hillcrest Road mansion transformed into “Hellcrest” for the night. Notch turned his home into a spooky 1800s mansion complete with a freakin’ swamp, mummies, taxidermy and just about every other creepy haunted thing.
Guests, including Avicii and Taylor Lautner, were tended to by undead butlers.
Check out the party pics to see why nerds really do throw the best parties.
Had the pleasure of designing my buddy @notchite’s #halloween party again this year. Worked with the awesome @productionclub to create a late 1800’s mansion lost in the swamps, filled with a bizarre collection of antique curiosities. @red5iam and @bartongilley helped me put the whole thing together this week! The party was a blast, but I had to bow out at 2am because, per usual, I haven’t slept in days trying to prep it!!!! #happyhalloween
