Michael Cohen Arrives to Testify Before Congress

Michael Cohen arrived on Capitol Hill on Wednesday morning where he will testify before the House Oversight Committee, where he is expected to give testimony calling President Donald Trump  a “conman” and a “racist.”

Cohen’s prepared statement was released ahead of his testimony this morning. It reads in part, “I am ashamed that I chose to take part in concealing Mr. Trump’s illicit acts rather than listening to my own conscience. I am ashamed because I know what Mr. Trump is.”

It continues, “He is a racist. He is a conman. He is a cheat. He was a presidential candidate who knew that Roger Stone was talking with Julian Assange about a WikiLeaks drop of Democratic National Committee emails.”

According to reports, Cohen plans to show a personal check, signed by Trump in 2017 for $35,000, reimbursing Cohen “for the illegal hush money I paid on his behalf.”

Trump, who is currently in Vietnam, tweeted very early in the morning to slam Michael Cohen. He wrote, “Michael Cohen was one of many lawyers who represented me (unfortunately). He had other clients also. He was just disbarred by the State Supreme Court for lying & fraud. He did bad things unrelated to Trump. He is lying in order to reduce his prison time. Using Crooked’s lawyer!”
