Melania Trump Wears Coat With ‘I Really Don’t Care, Do U?’ Inscription Before Visiting Detained Immigrant Children

UPDATE

2:55 PM PT — Despite her spokesperson saying “there was no hidden message,” Donald Trump just tweeted, “‘I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?’ written on the back of Melania’s jacket, refers to the Fake News Media. Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!”

11:48 AM PT: Melania’s spokesperson just addressed the jacket to a reporter, saying “It’s a jacket. There was no hidden message.”

People are condemning Melania Trump for her outfit choice while traveling to see detained immigrant children in Texas.

Photographers snapped photos of the First Lady boarding a plane Thursday morning from Washington D.C. to Texas while wearing a green Zara coat bearing the phrase “I really don’t care, do u?” written on the back.

The Daily Mail was the first to point out the tone-deaf clothing choice, which retails for just $39.00. Although Melania did remove the jacket before she landed in Texas to see the detained children, the  internet was quick to call out FLOTUS for the poor fashion choice.

Mrs. Trump’s visit to the border today was a surprise, previously unannounced, trip to meet migrant children currently being detained by the U.S. government. Several of the children at the facility have been separated from their parents as part of the Trump administrations controversial enforcement of their zero-tolerance illegal immigration policy.

After an enormous public outcry, President Trump signed an executive order yesterday barring the removal of children from their parents who are crossing the border illegally.
