Meek Mill Can Watch Philadelphia Eagles Play in Super Bowl LII from Prison

Meek Mill has been an inspiration for the Philadelphia Eagles throughout the season and on their way to Super Bowl LII, and when they take the field February 4 to battle the New England Patriots the rapper will be cheering on the team with 1,200 of his closest friends behind bars.

Unfortunately for Meek, the Philadelphia raised rapper will still be incarcerated during kickoff at State Correctional Institution Chester, PA — 1,178 miles from U.S. Bank stadium in Minneapolis, MN.

However, he’ll still get to enjoy the festivities.  Officials at SCI Chester tell The Blast Meek will be able to watch the big game either in his own cell from a TV purchased through commissary, or on one of the community TV’s designated for the entire block.

Meek is currently in general population as he serves out his 2-4 year sentence for violating his probation, but officials assure us all the televisions will be tuned into the Super Bowl.  One prison official says, “It’s the greatest show in town, especially when the Eagles are playing!”

As for game time snacks, Meek will get to load up on tasty goodies from the prison commissary list, including:

  • BBQ Corn Chips
  • The Whole Shabang Chips
  • The Whole Enchilada Party
  • Chex Mix
  • Wheat Thins
  • Mixed Nuts
  • Velveeta Spicy Cheesy Rice
  • Chocolate Cup Cakes
  • Swiss Rolls
  • Fruit Punch
  • Peanut M&M’s
  • Reeses Peanut Butter Cups

Meek’s music has been a source of motivation for the team over the season, and even wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey posted video of the Eagles’ locker room Sunday celebrating to his beats after their win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Unfortunately for Meek, SCI Chester forbids use of tobacco products by inmates, so no celebrating with a cigar if the Eagles are able to bring home the championship.
