Eerily Quiet Casino Floor Day After Las Vegas Massacre

Exclusive

The Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino was a shell of its former self less than one day after the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history.

Missing the usual clamor of buzzers, slot machines, table games, and crowds … the casino seemed to give an uncomfortable vibe as stragglers shuffled through the casino floor taking pictures as mementos of the chaos that erupted just hours before.

The casino did not appear to be shut down … but the lack of activity served as a somewhat memorial to the 59 dead and 500+ wounded after a crazed gunman targeted a crowd of defenseless concert goers with an automatic weapon from 32 floors above.
