For the past three seasons, we've seen Perry play Fred Andrews, the caring single dad of Archie. Like always, Perry's name splashed across the opening credits but after the episode, an "In Memoriam" popped up for the star.
Although Perry's character appeared in the final 10 minutes of Wednesday night's show, there was a certain sadness that surrounded his appearance because we don't know exactly how many more episodes he'll be in.
Hours before last night's show, "Riverdale" creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa promised that they'd not only dedicate that episode to Perry but all future episodes too.
Perry died on Monday, days after being rushed to the hospital following a stroke.
His "Riverdale" co-stars, including Lili Reinhart, Cole Sprouse and Molly Ringwald, never gave up hope during his hospitalization and rallied around Perry praying for recovery.
He was 52 years old.
