Lori Loughlin Dropped by Hallmark After College Cheating Scandal

Hallmark is cutting ties with Lori Loughlin after she was arrested this week and charged for her alleged involvement in the college bribery scandal.

Hallmark Cards Inc. told the AP it will no longer work with Loughlin and has stopped development on all of the productions she was involved in. The company said in a statement, “We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations. We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin, including ‘Garage Sale Mysteries,’ an independent third party production.”

Loughlin has starred in the series “When Calls the Heart” since 2014 and the “Garage Sale Mysteries” television movies.

The “Fuller House” star appeared on Wednesday in federal court in Los Angeles, wearing a white turtleneck sweater and kept her calm in the courtroom while prosecutors laid out the charges against her.

Loughlin was arrested by the FBI after traveling back to L.A. from Canada. Her attorney was working overtime to guarantee her “safe passage” through the airport to avoid an embarrassing public arrest.

Loughlin’s husband, Mossimo Giannulli, appeared in court Tuesday and had his bail set at $1 million.

He also had to put his Bel-Air mansion up to secure the bond and handed over his passport.
