Lin-Manuel Miranda Rips Trump Over Puerto Rico Tweets: ‘You’re Going Straight to Hell’
“Hamilton” star Lin-Manuel Miranda went after Donald Trump on Twitter on Saturday morning, reacting to the president’s comments about the devastation of Puerto Rico.
Miranda, who is Puerto Rican, has been very outspoken about his support for the ravaged island, which has been left in ruins following Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria.
After Trump tweeted about the “poor leadership” of the mayor of San Juan — and saying that the people of Puerto Rico “want everything to be done for them” — Miranda let loose.
“You’re going straight to hell, @realDonaldTrump,” Miranda wrote. “No long lines for you. Someone will say, ‘Right this way, sir.’ They’ll clear a path.”
