'Last Comic Standing' Champ John Heffron Files for Divorce

Comedian John Heffron is about to get a whole bunch of new material for his act, because he just filed for divorce.

The comic, who won NBC's second season of "Last Comic Standing" in 2004 and placed 3rd in the "Battle of the Best" season, filed documents in Los Angeles to begin the process of ending his marriage against Sherry Rie Heffron.

Rie is no stranger to reality shows herself, and appeared on television back in 2008 when she competed on "America's Toughest Jobs."

2004 was apparently good to the comic, because on top of his success as a comedian, the former couple also wed in July of that year.
