A young man who suffered a gunshot wound while shielding his girlfriend during the Las Vegas mass shooting has filed a $2 million creditor's claim against the estate of shooter Stephen Paddock.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Colby Jackson says that due to Paddock's "criminal conduct," he has been "harmed and incurred damages." Jackson says in his docs, "The physical and mental pain, suffering, anguish, and disability which Colby Jackson is reasonably certain to experience in the future as a result of the incident."

Jackson was shielding his girlfriend, Shannon Muttram, when he was shot in the upper arm. Muttram was also injured in the shooting and filed a $2 million claim against Paddock as well.
