LAPD Secures Playboy Mansion After Hugh Hefner Death

Crowds of fans and reporters descended on the Playboy mansion after news broke Hugh Hefner died, and the LAPD quickly swooped in to keep order.

Law enforcement tells us about eight or nine officers immediately went over to the Playboy mansion in Holmby Hills around 9:30 PM to secure the area and deal with crowd control.

We’re told during a high profile death cops anticipate the crowds that gather near the scene, so they showed up to secure and manage the perimeter around the property.

Cops stood watch as Hefner’s body was transported by officials.  His son, Marston, was also seen leaving the mansion.
