Not only is Kings of Leon going forward with their Friday night concert in Las Vegas, they are donating the money they make to charity.
The band announced in a statement, "All net proceeds from their October 6 Las Vegas tour date at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will be donated to The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee’s Music City Cares Fund. The donation to the CFMT fund will be directed to support Las Vegas nonprofits helping with immediate and long-term needs of the Route 91 Harvest festival shooting victims."
Jody Lake, chief operating officer at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, added, "Following the horrific events of this past weekend in Las Vegas, which have touched so many here and beyond, including members of our own Hard Rock Las Vegas family, we are honored to help the victims, their families and first responders for their heroic efforts."
Kings of Leon join the likes of Céline Dion in donating concert proceeds — the songstress performed Tuesday night and announced all proceeds from the show would be donated to victims.
