Kim Kardashian is working on a settlement in the legal battle accusing her of ripping off a design for her new perfume bottle.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Vibes Media — the company that sued Kardashian for allegedly ripping off their design — is requesting a hearing scheduled for later this month to be pushed to next month.
In the documents, Vibes says they have been in contact with Kim’s lawyers since shortly after filing suit. They claim that they have exchanged "initial settlement positions" and are continuing ongoing discussions “in an attempt to resolve this matter amicably."
Vibes says that since they are talking settlement, they have not served Kim Kardashian with the legal papers in hopes they can resolve the entire case out of court. They believe moving the hearing a month will help them focus on settlement talks.
KKW / Vibes
As The Blast first reported, Vibes Media sued Kim Kardashian’s beauty company accusing them of stealing their logo for the bottle of her fragrance.
Vibes claims that KKW "has been marketing, promoting, and is now selling a Vibes perfume. The Vibes perfume comes in a bottle that is a close facsimile of the Registered Vibes Logo."
Vibes Media is seeking unspecified damages, an injunction to keep them from continuing to sell it, and an order for them to turn over all unsold perfumes so they can be destroyed.
The case remains ongoing.
