Kim Kardashian just opened up about the process of choosing a surrogate for her third baby, and admitted it was extremely hard not to carry her own child.
Kardashian penned a letter explaining her and Kanye chose to use a surrogate only after her doctors advised that a pregnancy would not be safe for herself or the baby. Kim had complications in her previous pregnancies, including preeclampsia and placenta accreta.
She also makes it very clear that even though they used a gestational carrier, the baby biologically belongs to her and Kanye. She says the two are "so blessed" to have found the woman who became their surrogate, but admits it was tough not carrying her own baby.
"People assume it’s better because you don’t have to deal with the physical changes, pain or complications with delivery, but for me it was so hard to not carry my own child, especially after I carried North and Saint."
Kim says the entire process was very rewarding, and she and Kanye instantly connected with their daughter when she was born.
She still does not mention a name, and as we previously reported, the parents are having a hard time coming to a decision.
