Katie Holmes is mending some broken hearts after her former co-stars were "blindsided" by being left out of the 20 year reunion.
Holmes took to social media to praise Mary-Margaret Humes and John Wesley Shipp, who played Dawson's parents on the "Creek." "Mary Margaret and John were such a huge and important part of #dawsonscreek I am so grateful to have worked with them and experience their kindness ?," Holmes wrote on Friday.

This comes after a firestorm of controversy over EW's "reunion" photoshoot of the cast which notably left out both Humes and Shipp, who were NOT pleased.
Humes spilled the tea after the reunion pics went public: "it was done behind our backs and we both were literally blindsided by it when we woke up yesterday."

Shipp also mentioned the snub, posting an actual photo from the shoot with both him and Humes photoshopped in it.

The actual reunion shoot featured Holmes, James Van Der Beek, Michelle Williams, Joshua Jackson, Busy Philipps, Meredith Monroe, Mary Beth Peil and Kerr Smith. They all got together to reminisce about their time in Capeside.
Even though they don't wanna wait, Dawson's parents may have to catch the 40 year reunion.
