The deranged woman who pulled a firearm on an employee at the Kardashian's defunct clothing store, and then wielded a giant machete, has been deemed incompetent to stand trial and will be sent to a mental health facility.
Maricia Medrano was originally arrested in September 2017 on four felony charges, including two counts of assault with a firearm, one count of felon with a firearm, and one count of criminal threats.
She was also ordered to undergo a mental evaluation, and her bail was elevated to over $200,000.
According to the minute order from a hearing held on December 26, Medrano was found "mentally incompetent," and ordered to be committed to the Department of Mental Health for placement at a hospital. The documents note that she is not to be committed beyond December 2020.
As we initially reported, Medrano was shouting about Cuba and issuing threats at TV cameras in West Hollywood after holding the DASH store employee hostage.
The employees of DASH would be safe, if the clothing store still existed. The Kardashians shut down the last of their stores since the incident went down, announcing it was time to "move on."
