West will visit the White House on Thursday and meet with Jared Kushner before having lunch with the president, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said.
According to the New York Times, who first reported the meeting, Kanye wants to speak with Kushner about job opportunities for ex-convicts. He also wants to speak with Trump about how to increase the number of manufacturing jobs in the Chicago area.
Sanders said the two will also discuss prison reform, how to prevent gang violence and reducing violence in Chicago.
Kanye re-ignited his Trump support when he wore a MAGA hat during his stint on "Saturday Night Live." He referred to the hat as his "Superman cape" and urged his fans to "follow their heart and not their mind."
Hours after his Trump-themed rant, Ye re-upped his love for “Make America Great Again” with a photo showing him sporting a MAGA hat while on a private plane.
Trump voiced his support Kanye, writing, “Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) – no longer funny, no talent or charm. It is just a political ad for the Dems. Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told “no”), was great. He’s leading the charge!"
