Despite his recent public display of admiration for the President, Kanye West wasn't always a fan of Donald Trump.

The rapper went in on the future Commander-in-Chief back on his 2010 album, "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy." Kanye raps on the track, "So Appalled," declaring "I'm so appalled, Spalding ball / Balding Donald Trump taking dollars from y'all."

That wasn't the only shot Kanye took lyrically at a conservative figure. On 2012's "To The World," West went after then-presidential nominee, Mitt Romney: "I'm just trying to protect my stacks/ Mitt Romney don't pay no tax/ Mitt Romney don't pay no tax."

Kanye's older lyrics clearly don't seem to align with his 2018 politics, which has caused a torrent of controversy over his recent, politically-centric return to Twitter.

West has faced criticism from peers such as John Legend and Snoop Dogg, but has gained a whole new fanbase with support from conservative friends like Anthony Scaramucci.
