The head of Justin Bieber's security was arrested early Thursday morning and charged with DUI after he rear-ended a police cruiser.
Michael Arana was charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department.
According to the MDPD, Arana was driving a Chevy Tahoe and "traveling at a high rate of speed" when he "rear-ended the police vehicle." Police say Arana "then drove over the median and traveled westbound on the eastbound lanes, fleeing from the scene."
He was eventually stopped by nearby cops who were on the scene for an unrelated traffic stop.
"The officers noticed signs of impairment and requested the D.U.I. unit to respond," the MDPD said in a press release. "Michael Arana refused sobriety tests and was charged accordingly."
The crash, which occurred at 2:30 AM on Thursday morning, injured two officers that were initially treated at the hospital and are now recovering at home.
Arana is Bieber's director of security and was featured in a documentary called, "Bodyguards: Secret Lives from the Watchtower."
