RBG underwent surgery Friday morning to remove two cancerous nodules that were discovered after her recent fall that left her with fractured ribs.
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg underwent a pulmonary lobectomy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC.
An official release says 2 nodules were discovered in her left lung during tests performed last month at George Washington University Hospital following her fall inside her office at the Supreme Court.
After the nodules were removed by a thoracic surgeon and tested, they were found to be malignant. However, there is no evidence of any remaining disease in RBG's body, and she will not be receiving further treatment.
The statement says the 85-year-old Justice is currently resting comfortably in the hospital, where she will remain for the next few days.
Get well soon!
