Jay-Z Is Taking Steps to Launch New Clothing Line and Possible Retail Store

Want to dress like Jay-Z? Smell like Jay-Z? And decorate your Jay-Z outfit with Jay-Z accessories from a Jay-Z store? Then you might be in luck.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the music mogul filed to trademark the name "AKA SHAWN CARTER" for a variety of goods. He says he wants to use the name on shirts, pants, jackets, coats, bathing suits, ties, skirts, footwear, hats and various other clothing products.
The "4:44" rapper is also looking to use the mark for perfume, cologne, shaving gel, aftershave, body lotion, bath gel, face cream, and cosmetics. And if that's not enough he also wants to hawk sunglasses, eyeglasses, and other eyewear products.
AAANNNNND ... he's also asking to trademark the name for "retail and online retail store services."
In addition to the "AKA SHAWN CARTER" goods, Jay-Z filed docs to obtain the rights to use the name "HOVINO" for use in jewelry, tie pins, key chains, wristwatches, pocket watches, stopwatches, and timepieces.
