Pennywise was thought to be on the loose again last weekend after his trademark calling card started appearing near Los Angeles.

Residents in the area started noticing red balloons popping up around town hours after Stephen King’s horror flick, “IT,” officially hit the big screen.

The balloons were mainly tied to various street storm drains, but one was seen floating aimlessly down the street.

The Santa Clarita Sheriff’s department, where many of the balloons were spotted, tell The Blast they are aware of the situation but chalked it up to a prank inspired the movie and no crimes were committed.

Of course, the adults can’t be trusted.
