Humans Overrun ‘Isle of Dogs’ Premiere

There was a definite lack of canines at the “Isle of Dogs” premiere Tuesday night in New York City, but Bill Murray was there … so we guess all is forgiven.

Frances McDormand, Greta Gerwig, Tilda Swinton, Liev Schreiber, Jeff Goldblum and several other non-dogs attended the event at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The new Wes Anderson film is about a 12-year-old who sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots, who has been exiled (along with all the other dogs of Megasaki City) to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island.

The movie will be released in select theaters on Friday.
