Humans Overrun 'Isle of Dogs' Premiere

By TheBlast Staff

There was a definite lack of canines at the "Isle of Dogs" premiere Tuesday night in New York City, but Bill Murray was there ... so we guess all is forgiven.

Frances McDormand, Greta Gerwig, Tilda Swinton, Liev Schreiber, Jeff Goldblum and several other non-dogs attended the event at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The new Wes Anderson film is about a 12-year-old who sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots, who has been exiled (along with all the other dogs of Megasaki City) to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island.

The movie will be released in select theaters on Friday.
