The French fashion tour de force is credited for popularizing the classic LBD. He famously designed the iconic black dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”
Throughout her life, Hepburn frequently worked as the designer’s muse and wore his label on the red carpet and in her films.
Givenchy’s label has transcended the decades and is still a powerhouse today. “Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman wore a custom suit by the late designer at The 2018 Academy Awards.
The knee-length embellished tuxedo jacket landed Boseman and Givenchy on nearly every best-dressed list.
