Hilary Duff's Boyfriend Accused of Punching Neighbor in Smoking Dispute

Hilary Duff went on the offensive against a neighbor of hers with an alleged nasty smoking habit, but it may have been a move to take the heat off her boyfriend, who was accused of punching the neighbor.

According to the NYPD, they responded to Duff's apartment this week on a harassment call, and tells us there was a dispute inside the building and a 26-year-old male was struck in the face by Matthew Koma. Police tell us there were no injuries at the scene.

Dieter Addison told Page Six that he was attacked by Duff's boyfriend, and was the one who called police. He claims he tried to block the punch and was hit on the top of the head.

The actress went on her social media accounts Wednesday and identified her non-famous neighbor. She ripped him in multiple videos for allegedly smoking cigarettes and weed to the point that she claimed her upstairs apartment reeked of smoke.

Addison said he was considering legal action against Duff and her boyfriend.
