Not long after he was allegedly attacked by Heather Locklear, her boyfriend, Chris Heisser, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Heisser was busted at 12:46 AM on Monday, a little more than two hours after Locklear's arrest.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers observed a Mercedes driving southbound on the 101 Freeway in Thousand Oaks. The car was driving at an unusually slow speed for a highway, so they stopped the vehicle.
After approaching the driver, cops say they observed signs and symptoms of intoxication of alcohol and did field sobriety test — and police say he blew .19 and .20 on a breathalyzer test.
He was taken arrested for misdemeanor DUI a short time later and released from Ventura County Jail at 8:14 AM.
As The Blast previously reported, Locklear was charged with felony domestic battery and three counts of attacking an officer. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department says Heather “battered her boyfriend and he suffered a visible injury” before their arrival.
Police say as they tried to take Locklear into custody, she kicked and hit three deputies.
She is due in court on March 13; Heisser on April 26.
